Last Sunday, Deputies of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bekbolat Orynbekov and Abdaly Nuraliyev went to the Bayzak District of the Zhambyl Region where an explosion of ammunition occurred on the territory of a military unit, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
In the first turn, the deputies visited fellow countrymen taken to the city hospital, saw the facilities whose activities had been affected by the emergency, got acquainted with the work of the emergency headquarters placed in the local school, and went to the checkpoint of the military unit where the explosion had taken place.
“We came here to support our countrymen. The situation must be thoroughly studied after what happened. Should any issues need to be solved at the deputy level, they will be solved; and if legislative changes are needed for this, they will be considered. Meanwhile, we see that the local authorities are coping with the situation. The response protocol prescribed for such a situation is being fully complied with. The most important thing now is to avoid panic and to act reasonably,” senator Bekbolat Orynbekov said.
At the emergency headquarters, the senators were told about the efforts being made to eliminate the damage caused to citizens. A special commission has already begun its work, with its members making house-to-house visits aimed at recording the financial losses and their subsequent reimbursement.
