Barys hockey team captain Darren Dietz has pleased little patients of the Heart Center today with his visit, reports Delovoy Kazakhstan.

8-year-old Azamat and 6-year-old Olesya met their idol who congratulated them on the start of the school year, wished them good health and success and presented gifts from our Center and the Heart Center Foundation.
In early childhood, Azamat Abdukakharov was diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy, which required a heart transplant. Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan, the situation with heart transplants in children is difficult, so Azamat received his new heart in India and is now undergoing further examination and rehabilitation. And Olesya Kalsina was diagnosed with a heart rhythm disorder, for which she successfully received treatment in the form of an electrophysiological exam and radiofrequency ablation. Now two small patients are in the safe hands of the doctors of our Center.
A short but sincere meeting moved the hockey player and he promised the children that the very first pucks of the new season would be dedicated to them. After talking with little patients, doctors showed Darren Dietz different departments of the Center, told about the type of treatment and rehabilitation children receive, and finally shared ambitious plans for the development of cardiac surgery and cardiology.
