The Federation of Chilean Industry (SOFOFA) hosted a roundtable on investment and trade cooperation on the topic "Kazakhstan and Chile: cooperation opportunities in agriculture, mining and logistics." SOFOFA brings together companies and trade unions associated with the local industrial sector. Over 20 companies participated in the meeting in Santiago, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Opening the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil, Argentina and Chile, Bolat Nusupov, briefed the audience on the current state and prospects for further development of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Chile, with an emphasis on existing investment potential for interaction in agriculture, trade, mining and logistics.
In turn, SOFOFA Director of Political Affairs Rodrigo Mujica highly appreciated the potential of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Chile and offered to exchange business missions for further strengthening. According to his words, at present there are good opportunities for building up contacts both at the level of official bodies and business circles of the two countries.
During the event, the representative of KAZAKH INVEST Diana Ablyakimova informed about the investment policy of Kazakhstan, measures taken to improve the investment climate and new support tools for potential investors, and also presented investment proposals for Chilean companies.
Aibek Saginayev, Managing Director of the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center, spoke in detail about trade, economic, transport and logistics potential of Kazakhstan, and also presented promising commodities of Kazakhstani products for export to the Chilean market.
At the end of the event, a discussion and exchange of views took place on new ways and opportunities for expanding business cooperation between Kazakhstan and Chile in order to increase trade and investment activity.
It should be noted that the roundtable was organized by the Federation of Industry of Chile (SOFOFA) jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
