Compliance institutes for monitoring compliance with integrity standards have been introduced in 221 subjects of the quasi-public sector of the Mangystau region, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The main mission of anti-corruption compliance services is to ensure that the organization and its employees comply with anti–corruption legislation.
The Department conducts extensive explanatory work and methodological assistance on the organization of compliance. In particular, employees of the specialized department of the NGO "Government for Citizens", heads of local executive bodies and organizations of education, health care explained the importance of the compliance service and organized discussion seminars.
Currently, such large companies as “Ozenmunaigas”, “Mangistaumunaigas”, “Karazhanbasmunai”, “Aktau Sea Commercial Port” and others are taking part in promoting the formation of a culture of integrity. Relevant work is being carried out in these institutions in this direction.
Also at the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh . Yessenov has created an independent compliance service, where candidates for a responsible person are selected.
It should be noted that the status of the compliance service is defined at the legislative level. Therefore, employees of the Department express confidence that the compliance institute will help prevent corruption and form an anti-corruption culture.
