Hungary is familiar with ongoing political reforms and upcoming elections in Kazakhstan

In the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary, held a briefing with media representatives and experts. During the meeting the ongoing political reforms and the upcoming extraordinary presidential elections in Kazakhstan were discussed, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhanibek Abdrashov of Kazakhstan spoke about the large-scale constitutional reforms that are taking place in our country, affecting the fundamental principles of the state, which are reflected in the six laws signed in early November by the Head of State.

The Kazakhstani diplomat noted that political transformations open up new opportunities for citizens to participate in the socio-political life of the country.

Regarding the early presidential elections to be held on November 20, Abdrashov stressed that the elections are held against the background of constitutional and related legislative reforms and are aimed at strengthening the democratic system of the republic.

In a free discussion format, experts and journalists expressed their opinions on the topic of the event. Senior Fellow at the Institute for Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Prof. Dr. László Vasa, noted that the early presidential election in Kazakhstan is another step in the development of political life in the country.

Mathias Corvinus Collegium expert Moldicz Csaba shared his opinion that Kazakhstan clearly demonstrates the course aimed at reforming the socio-economic life of the country.

Journalists received exhaustive information on political and social reforms implemented in Kazakhstan and the initiatives of the head of state, reflecting the transparency of the upcoming presidential election.

Participants in the event were given handouts and anniversary postage stamps issued by the Embassy to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Hungary.
