Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior State Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore made a call on Mr. Askar Zhumagaliyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan during his visit to Nur-Sultan on February 4, 2020.
As Singapore is one of the well-known leaders in the field of innovation, the discussion focused on the development of smart cities and digitalization. The ministers mentioned positive results of the implementation of a number of joint projects in this area. So far, Kazakhstan has successfully implemented Singapore technological solutions for the AIFC operations.
Another vector of cooperation is the active promotion of Kazakhstan's scientific potential in Singapore. More than 130 innovative ideas from Kazakhstan’s research institutes are under consideration by Singaporean colleagues. 14 ideas are selected already for further researches. The ministers also mentioned an important trend of expanding the presence of Kazakhstani startups in Singapore.
