Yulia Putintseva (WTA 33) and Zarina Diyas (WTA 110) will compete in the first Astana Open WTA 250 event, as reported by the host of the event, which will be held in Nur-Sultan from September 25 to October 2 on the site of the National Tennis Center, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Among those invited by the host are the World's No. 52 Russian Liudmila Samsonova; the former World's No. 1 in Doubles and the winner of five Grand Slam events French Kristina Mladenovic; the former World's No. 2 in Singles, the runner-up of two Grand Slam events Russian Vera Zvonareva.
The Event will also have Swedish Rebecca Peterson (54), Czech Tereza Martincova (60), Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck (61), Romanian Irina-Kamelia Begu (63), Slovenian Polona Hercog (86), Croatian Ana Konjuh (88) and others.
Four more athletes will advance to the main draw through qualification, and four others will receive a WC from the tournament host.
