November 5 this year, in Ankara at the National Library under the administration of the President of Turkey the International Conference "The Turkic world: history, modernity, future" was held with the participation of prominent political and public figures of Kazakhstan and Turkey, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The event, timed to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy in cooperation with the Corporate foundation "Elbasy Academy", the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Turkey.
The purpose of the conference is to discuss the processes of reviving the historical and cultural past and spiritual heritage of the Turkic civilization, the role and contribution of Elbasy to the unity of the Turkic people, as well as strengthening the dynamic of the integration of the Turkic world.
The conference was moderated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Turkey Abzal Saparbekuly. The participants exchanged views on the vision of further study, promotion and popularization of Turkic history and culture.
Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat in his speech noted: “The brotherhood of Kazakhstan and Turkey has become the basis for the revival of the Turkic idea in the ХХІ century, the creation of the Turkic Council. As a result, cooperation between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey received a new impulse. A special event was the adoption of the Turkestan Declaration in March of this year at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states, and the city of Turkestan was declared the spiritual capital of the Turkic world. Following the summit, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy expressed confidence that a new stage in the development of the Turkic civilization had begun. And we are all witnessing this at the present time".
“In 2009, by the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Turkic Council was created. Kazakhstan and Turkey are states that have had close cooperation and strong friendship for a long time. And I am very glad that this exhibition is being held at the National Library under the Administration of the President of Turkey, it was organized precisely to continue the good cooperation between our countries”- said Ayhan Tuglu, Director of the National Library under the Administration of the President of Turkey.
During the conference General Secretary of TURKSOY Dyusen Kaseinov made a report: “By human standards, 30 years is a long period, but for the state it is a short period. And yet, during this time, Kazakhstan and the Turkic world have managed to implement a lot of important deeds and initiatives. Among the striking achievements are the building of an independent state, the revival of national culture, the formation of national identity and integration into the international community. Thanks to all this, the past thirty years have been filled with concrete results in the field of integration and cooperation of the Turkic world".
“At all times, young people are the driving force of society. The number of Turkic people in the world is 200 million people, of which 30 million are young people. In this regard, I would like to note that the initiative of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev “El Umiti” is based on the Turkic world view. Within the framework of this initiative, in order to strengthen the relationship of fraternal people, the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the Elbasy Academy set the task of acquainting the youth of Turkic countries with the common Turkic culture, historical figures, as well as researching their contribution to science and art"- was said in the report of Anuar Zhangozin, Managing Director of the Elbasy Academy Corporate Fund.
The event also featured reports from the President of the International Fund of Turkic Culture and Heritage Gunay Efendiyeva and Vice-President of the International Turkic Academy Fizuli Mezhidli.
Following the conference, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Library of Elbasy and the National Library under the Administration of the President of Turkey was signed.
