A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Contest "Independence of Kazakhstan and Elbasy" among media professionals dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the Library of Elbasy, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The annual contest is held in order to highlight the achievements of the country over the years of independence, popularize the "Nazarbayev model", ideas and initiatives of Elbasy as the basis of Kazakhstan's statehood. The organizers of the event are the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation.
In his welcoming speech to the participants of the contest, Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, co-chairman of the Contest Commission Bakytzhan Temirbolat noted that the Kazakh media is one of the most important assets of Kazakhstan's Independence.
"It is deeply symbolic that the current ceremony is held between two important state dates. After all, the concepts of "Independence" and "Elbasy" are inextricably linked, since all the achievements of the country are the result of the activities of Nursultan Nazarbayev as the leader of Kazakhstan. Over the past 30 years, the national media together with the country has gone a long way, raising a pleiad of famous journalists. The number of participants in our Contest is growing every year, the geography is expanding. I want to thank all the participants and wish them creative success. Happy Independence Day! I wish peace and well-being, health and prosperity to all Kazakhstanis," B. Temirbolat congratulated the participants of the ceremony.
Yerlan Bekkhozhin, Chairman of the Khabar Agency Management Board, member of the Contest Commission stressed the high level of this year's competitive works.
"The prizes and the victory for the current finalists will be special because this is their achievement in the year of the 30th anniversary of the country's Independence. Since the Contest became international, a lot of foreign materials have been received, which means that the country is interesting to the world, Elbasy is interesting, the people are interesting," E. Bekkhozhin said.
In the nomination "The best publication in foreign media" 1st place was taken by Mohammed Ruzubai (Business Turk magazine, Turkey), 2nd place - Nick Fielding (East-West Review magazine, Great Britain), 3rd place - Andrey Vypolzov (Russian-Kazakh Press Center, Argumenty i Fakty newspaper, Russia).
"The contest takes place in a country that I love very much, Kazakhstan is my historical homeland. Over 28 years of my career, many of my works and projects have been inspired by the history of the Turkic world. I am writing about the great Abai, about Shyngys Aitmatov. Articles about Kazakhstan and the phenomenon of Nursultan Nazarbayev have a special place in my writing," M. Ruzubai said.
In the nomination "The best article in newspapers and magazines" 1st place was taken by Abai Otar (Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper, Nur-Sultan), 2nd place - Igor Prokhorov (Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper, Nur-Sultan), 3rd place - Galym Kozhabekov (Astana aqshamy newspaper, Nur-Sultan).
"This is not the first time I have participated in the Contest of the Library of Elbasy, but this is the first time I was awarded a prize, and I am very happy. I thank the organizers for the high appreciation of my work. I congratulate all the laureates on their victory and on the upcoming Independence Day, I wish everyone new bright creative success!" said A. Otar.
In the nomination "The best TV material", Inzhu Kabyldina (Khabar TV channel, Nur-Sultan) became the winner, Irina Yakunina (Astana TV channel, Ust–Kamenogorsk) took 2nd place, Vitaly Nesipbayev (Qazaqstan Saryarqa TV channel, Karaganda) took 3rd place.

In the "Best radio material" nomination, 1st place was taken by Saltanat Sadibekova (Kazakh radio, Nur-Sultan), 2nd place - Almira Elimsarina (Kazakh radio, Nur-Sultan), 3rd place - Evgenia Grishanina (Radio NS, Almaty).
In the nomination "Best publication in the Internet media" 1st place was taken by Asel Alisheva (IAP "Business Kazakhstan", Almaty), 2nd place - Tatiana Kazantseva (newspaper "Liter", Nur-Sultan), 3rd place - Atsalim Idigov ( newspaper "Lights of Alatau", Taldykorgan).
The winners of the contest "Independence of Kazakhstan and Elbasy" were awarded cash prizes and badges. The ceremony was accompanied by musical performances of Kazakh pop artists.
