Al-Farabi International Olympiad will be held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University among 11th grade students of secondary general educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries, as well as neighboring and far abroad countries, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The Al-Farabi Olympiad is held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center in order to identify and support gifted students.
Winners of the Olympiad are awarded with I, II and III degree diplomas of the MES RK and receive a preferential right to enter a higher education institution. They may also apply for the internal grant of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Graduates of educational schools from CIS countries as well as from near and far abroad countries get the right to enter the university without entrance exams for the grant.
The Olympiad will be held in three stages, the first and second rounds - online at www.kaznu.kz link online-test.kaznu.kz, in Kazakh, Russian and English in the following subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, computer science, history of Kazakhstan, world history, Kazakh language and literature, Russian language and literature, English, German and French.
Registration is available online at the link online-test.kaznu.kz from March 25 to April 15.
For pupils of the 11th forms I round will be held on April 15-16th (from 10.00 till 15.00 in Nur-Sultan city time), II round - on April 26th (from 11.00 till 12.00) online.
The I-st round will be held on April 18 (from 15.00 to 16.00 of Nur-Sultan city time), the II-nd round - on April 26 (from 15.00 to 16.00) online for graduates of educational schools of CIS countries, as well as countries of near and far abroad.
Participants who have collected 23 points and higher will be admitted to the IInd round (IIIrd round).
For the Kazakhstani schoolchildren the IIIrd round will be held on May 5-6 in the off-line mode on the base of the University. Tasks of the third round of natural and mathematical direction are in the format of solving theoretical and practical tasks, and social and humanitarian directions - writing essays and answering theoretical questions.
The sixth round will be held for the graduates of educational organizations of the CIS countries, as well as neighboring and far-abroad countries in the form of an interview on May 5 (from 15.00 to 17.00 of Nur-Sultan time) in online mode, via Skype.
