Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi hosted the screening of the full-length science documentary "Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev: Project of the Century" dedicated to the social and political activity of a prominent figure of Alash, the first railway engineer of Kazakh origin, Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Nurshaken Junusova, the president of "Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev" fund, Zhanabek Zhetiruov, the adviser and the director of the film, the grandson of the figure, Ersaiyn Toleubay, the author and the director of the drama about Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev, Bazargul Abduldina, the scriptwriter and the producer of the film and other guests took part in the event. They told the students about the moral life and activities of the outstanding person.
The full-length film was made on the 140th anniversary of the birth of Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev, Prime Minister of the Kokand Autonomous Republic, deputy of the II State Duma in 1907. Gulbanu Zhugenbaeva, professor at Kazakh National University, an Alashev researcher who defended her doctoral dissertation on the life and work of Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev and her doctoral dissertation on the historical views of the Alash intellectuals, participated in the film and shared her reflections.
According to the organizers, the film was shown for the purpose of patriotic education of the younger generation, to popularise the ideas and rich heritage of the figures of the Alash movement.
The students got a vivid impression from watching the film. As the 2nd year student of the philological faculty of Kazakh National University Akbota Anuarova has told: "I liked the film, I found out much about the difficult life of Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev, his inner world, and activity for the good of the Kazakh people. The character and energy of the hero inspire every Kazakh. The filmmakers were able to fully reveal the personality of Mukhamedjan Tynyshbaev".
Ainur Zhetiruova, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, also noted that the film was very touching. "From the very beginning of the film, I couldn't stop watching it. The film made a very strong impression on me. I found out a lot about myself and learned new facts about M. Tynyshbaev's life. This film awakens national consciousness, in my opinion, it should be seen by all students," shared the student Zhetiruova.
