On May 23, 2022 the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to UN ESCAP and the Ambassador to Thailand Arman Issetov was elected as the Vice-chair of the 78th session of UN ESCAP, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
In this capacity he chaired general debate of the session and the High-level thematic roundtable «Realizing climate action in Asia and the Pacific».
Guided by the theme «A common agenda to advance sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific», the annual session of the UN ESCAP serves as the basic platform for member states and associate members to discuss and shape the future of regional cooperation centred around a new form of multilateralism and regional cooperation.
