Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Nurlan Zhalgasbaev participated in the event on celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID), Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
At the event, dedicated to the role of modern irrigation in global food security, the participants exchanged views on the prospects for developing cooperation between the parties to the Commission in the field of irrigation and drainage of agricultural lands.
During the conversation with the leadership of the Commission, ways of intensifying cooperation between Kazakhstan and the ICID were discussed.
The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, established in 1950, is the leading scientific and technical international non-profit non-governmental organization. Kazakhstan is the member of the ICID since 2006.
