Kazakhstan – Singapore: expansion of investment cooperation

As part of the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi to Singapore, the Chairman of the Board of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC Meirzhan Yussupov held a number of meetings with Singaporean companies, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

The head of the national company held bilateral meetings with the management of Indorama Corporation, Chemical Industries, Wilmar International and Durapower. During the talks, the possibilities of expanding investment cooperation between the countries were discussed and agreements were reached on the development of a number of new projects.

For example, Indorama Corporation, which is one of the leading chemical holdings in Asia with 25 production sites in 8 countries, has expressed interest in investing in the mining, metallurgical and agrochemical sectors of Kazakhstan. At a meeting with Wilmar International, the parties discussed the possibilities for processing agricultural products on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, as part of the Kazakh delegation, Meirzhan Yussupov got acquainted with the G4 City urban development project from Surbana Jurong, which provides for the creation of 4 new satellite cities near Almaty.

Also, the Chairman of KAZAKH INVEST took part in the meetings of the Singapore Business Federation, Enterprise Singapore and the Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Council.
