The Kazakh delegation headed by Aide to the President - Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Gizat Nurdauletov attended the Inaugural Meeting of the National Security Advisers/Secretaries of Security Councils in the «Central Asia – India» format, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
In his speech at the forum, Mr. Nurdauletov informed about the measures taken by the Kazakh leadership in the international arena to strengthen international and regional security and our country's firm commitment to obligations to strengthen global stability, including through various initiatives within the framework of the CICA. The relevance of the proposal of the President of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the creation of an interregional transport and logistics consortium between the countries of Central Asia and India was again confirmed. In the context of practical assistance in stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan, the leader of Kazakh delegation emphasized the relevance of using the potential of the UN Logistics Humanitarian Hub located in Almaty.
As a result of the event, the delegations of Kazakhstan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan adopted a Joint Communique, which emphasized the importance and timeliness of consolidating efforts in the fight against international terrorism, jointly confronting new types of threats and challenges, expanding trade and economic relations, stabilizing Afghanistan and etc. Separately, the initiative of Kazakhstan to establish regional centers for disease control and biosafety was noted.
During the visit, Mr. Nurdauletov held a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Mr. Ajit Doval. During the talks, the interlocutors discussed crucial issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as exchanged views on the most important topics of international and regional security.
