EAEU publishes socio-demographic statistics for 9 months of 2022

The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Statistics Department has published a bulletin "Socio-demographic Indicators. Statistics of the Eurasian Economic Union". The brochure covers data on population, labor market, living standards, consumer prices and consumer market for January–September 2022, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

As follows from the materials, the birth rate decreased in all EAEU countries compared to the same period in 2021: in Armenia – by 1.3% (26.5 thousand people were born), in Kazakhstan – by 11.5% (299.7 thousand people), in Kyrgyzstan – by 10.3% (106 thousand people), in Russia – by 6.2% (984.8 thousand people).

At the same time, in all Member States except for Russia there was a natural population increase. In Armenia, it amounted to 5.9 thousand people, which is 1.7 times more than in January – September 2021. 

Migration population growth was recorded in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan – 3.3 thousand people and 3.6 thousand people, respectively. In Kazakhstan and Russia, the migration outflow amounted to 9.3 thousand people and 36.2 thousand people, respectively.

The average monthly nominal salary for the nine months of 2022, compared to the corresponding period of 2021, increased in all States of the Union. The highest growth rates of both nominal and real salary were recorded in Kyrgyzstan (127.9% and 112.7%, respectively) and Kazakhstan (124.1% and 109.4%).
