Bolat Nussupov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil, met with the first Brazilian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Frederico Duque Estrada Meyer, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda and noted that despite the geographical remoteness, our countries have significant potential in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian spheres of cooperation. The Kazakh diplomat spoke about the political reforms of the country's leadership on the systemic modernization of the state and society within the framework of the "New Kazakhstan" program and acquainted the interlocutor with the plans as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan invited the interlocutor to take an active part in the work of the Kazakhstan-Brazil Friendship Society, established this summer.
In turn, the Brazilian diplomat highly appreciated the political and economic transformations in Kazakhstan, noted the progressive nature of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Brazil and stressed the importance of further expanding and strengthening cooperation.
Frederico Meyer worked as the Brazilian Ambassador to Kazakhstan with residence in Astana from 2006 to 2011 and was directly involved in the opening of the Brazilian Embassy in Kazakhstan, as well as the Embassy of our country in Brazil. Ambassador Meyer also has a long experience of working in international organizations, in particular in the UN, where he maintained close and friendly relations with representatives of our country.
