The Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judiciary and Law Enforcement Bodies of the Senate Vladimir Volkov met with the residents of Karasai District of Almaty Region and Maslikhat deputies, representatives of several state bodies and housing and communal services employees, DKNews.kz reports.
The Senator discussed with the villagers the process of considering the appeals of the suburb residents of Almaty Region regarding the legislative determination of the status of their suburb and the supply of electricity to it. It should be noted that there are 83,578 garden plots in Almaty Region with 183 thousand people living on them.
Last year, during the meeting with the residents of Enbekshikazakh District, the heads of the Regional Akimat said that the Almaty Region is developing a mechanism to grant the status of communities to suburb and gardening communities, which would solve the pressing issues of livelihood for over 200 thousand people.
"Before solving the above-mentioned problems, it is important to solve the issues of using power grids and supplying electricity to the suburb community as a matter of priority. For example, in a gardening cooperative "Ptitsevod" there is a gas supply, there are settlements nearby, but a special problem is the supply of electricity" Said the Senator
Recall that earlier for the solution of this issue Senators sent a deputy request to the Prime Minister of the country.
As a result of meetings with villagers, relevant instructions were given to local executive bodies, and the issues raised were taken under control of the district authorities.
