Today the III Plenum of the Regional Council of Veterans took place. Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov, 25 members of the Council, as well as chairmen of primary veteran organizations and public activists took part in it, DKNews.kz reports.
On the agenda of the Plenum:
- The tasks of organizations of veterans of the region, arising from the Address of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev to the People of Kazakhstan;
- Issues of the work of the Atyrau City Council of Veterans on the social protection of pensioners were considered.
The chairman of the regional council of veterans Murat Uteshov made a report.
“In 2023, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the incomparable feats of our countrymen Kaiyrgali Smagulov, Boran Nysanbayev, Alexander Afanasyev, Gizat Alipov, Fedor Kantsev, medals "Kos Batyr" were issued and the rules for awarding were approved. Under the auspices of the regional council of veterans, 40 veterans take an active part in the mentoring movement, teaching their practice to young civil servants. The pilot project "Daneker" is widely deployed in the region, which includes the work of 6 professional, 54 public mediators of veterans who take an active part in strengthening unity and peace in society. As part of the charitable action of the council "Karttarymyzdy kamkorlai zhureyik", about a thousand public events were held in the region, which attracted about 16 thousand pensioners. During the month, 12,470 pensioners received material assistance in the amount of 157 million 757 thousand tenge, which is 20 million 995 thousand tenge more than last year. With the help of sponsors, 2,000 veterans were subscribed to various newspapers and magazines for free” Murat Uteshov
The meeting discussed issues voiced in the Address, events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Makat region, social issues of the Makat region, protection of young people from following a negative trend, their upbringing, health status.
At meeting, Serik Shapkenov commented on issues raised at plenum.
“Today, a very important issue facing us is the education of young people. The current young generation-society is our tomorrow. What you see while in the nest, you will use in flight. If we want to become a strong nation, then from now on it is important to join in the education of our future. Secondly, the problem of religion. Of course, we are glad that our children avoid bad habits. However, there are many who are driven by negative thoughts. Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev said: We must adhere to traditional Islam. We must be able to instill spiritual values on this earth. To this day, we are a believing people. Each of us knows that there is Almighty Allah, and he is in our hearts. There are many different religious movements associated with the passage of time. We need a good environment, good education, so that our youth does not follow the darkness. Thirdly, the issue of employment remains relevant. Young people today want to work where the pay is high and there is little work. The main thing here is not to forget that the modern world dictates its own rules - the time has come for educated, hardworking, busy people. In order to be successful in life, it is necessary to realize the importance of these qualities” Serik Shapkenov
Serik Shapkenov took an active part in the event and awarded a number of veterans who made a special contribution to the education of patriotism among the younger generation.
- Serik Zhubanuly Sapanov – the medal "For Services to the Atyrau region";
- Mukhambetkali Kaliyevich Kaliyev – the medal "For Merit to the Atyrau Region";
- Kossybek Saltanatuly Yrzagaliyev was awarded the badge "Excellence in Agriculture" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Zhumabay Oryngaliuly Dospanov – the medal "Kos Batyr";
- Zulpukhar Maksotuly Suyuneshov – the gold medal "Ardakty Ardager";
- Zlikha Kadyrbayevna Duysekenova – the medal "Talimger";
- Turkmenbay Nurzhigituly Nurzhigitov – the medal "Meyirimdi Zhurek".
At the end of the meeting, 10 members of the regional council of veterans were excluded from the ranks due to death, relocation, transfer to another job, health status. In addition, 15 veterans have been added to the board.
