Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbayev met with Acting Mayor of Yerevan Levon Hovhannisyan, during the meeting the issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the capitals of the two countries, as well as political and economic reforms ongoing in Kazakhstan were discussed, DKNews.kz reports.
The Armenian side highly appreciated the policy of the leadership of Kazakhstan and expressed its readiness to intensify economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Yerevan and Astana and conclude an appropriate bilateral agreement, as well as implement joint projects. According to L. Hovhannisyan, the proposals of the Kazakh company Sergek Development on the development of a pilot project «smart city» and QazTehna LLP on the production and supply of buses and road construction equipment are of great interest.
Yerevan Municipality noted the importance of launching regular flights between the two capitals, which give an additional impetus to the development of the tourism sector and infrastructure projects, and confirmed its participation in the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation in Yerevan at the end of April this year.
