The implementation of new investment projects in the energy sector were discussed by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and Vice President of CNPC Huang Yongzhang, DKNews.kz reports.
The Prime Minister stressed that CNPC has been successfully operating in Kazakhstan for over 25 years, being one of the most important strategic partners in the energy sector.
"Over the years of working together, we have developed trusting partnerships in the implementation of major projects in all sectors of the oil and gas industry. The government of Kazakhstan is set to deepen our strategic cooperation" Alikhan Smailov
In turn, Huang Yongzhang noted that previously a number of joint projects have been successfully implemented, many of which are considered a model of mutually beneficial cooperation, and indicated the company's interest in expanding its activities in Kazakhstan.
"China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors. CNPC is ready to contribute to further strengthening of bilateral relations between our countries" Huang Yongzhang
During the meeting, the sides also discussed oil export issues, improvement of working conditions for CNPC employees in Kazakhstan, as well as a number of other topical issues.
