The newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Romania, Mr. Yerlik Sh. Ali, presented copies of his credentials to the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Iulian Fota, DKNews.kz reports.
As part of the presentation ceremony, sides discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Romanian relations and outlined plans for further cooperation.
The Kazakh diplomat noted that the increased trade turnover in recent years (2.65 billion US dollars in 2022), forums, meetings of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and entrepreneurs undoubtedly contribute to the development of bilateral relations between our countries.
Mr. Fota stressed that Kazakhstan is an important partner of Romania in Central Asia in terms of trade, economic and energy cooperation. He said that the Romanian side would take part in the 2nd EU-Central Asia Economic Forum on May 18-19 this year in Almaty.
