Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kairat Sarzhanov met with Director of the Foreign Economic Affairs SECO, Ambassador Ivo Germann, who will participate in the Astana International Forum on June 8, DKNews.kz reports.
Stressing the important role of this dialogue platform in the context of growing international interest in Central Asia, the parties discussed topical issues of investment and economic cooperation, opportunities for attracting Swiss companies to invest in priority sectors of Kazakhstan's economy and increase bilateral trade turnover.
I.Germann noted that large-scale political reforms and measures to strengthen macroeconomic stability, economic diversification, SME development and the rule of law, strengthen Kazakhstan's position as a key partner of Switzerland in Central Asia, contributing to the expansion of investment and trade cooperation, implementation of joint innovation projects and technology transfer.
