Issues of activation of political contacts on bilateral and multilateral tracks with a focus on deepening trade and economic cooperation became the key topic of the talks between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerlik Ali, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Ana Tinca, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting, the diplomats engaged in a detailed discussion of the status and prospects of the Kazakh-Romanian partnership. They confirmed that both parties are highly prepared to continue the development of political ties, both bilaterally and within the framework of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the EU and the EU Strategy for Central Asia.
At the same time, the parties are currently working on the implementation of key agreements resulting from important events such as the negotiations between Presidents of the two countries (September 2023), the visits to Bucharest at the level of the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (December 2023), Transport (January 2023), energy and holding the 17th IGC meeting on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation (February 2024), negotiations in the format of VCCS between the chairmen of the Committees on Foreign Affairs of the Majilis (March 2024), and the Chamber of Deputies and the meeting of the Working Group in the field of energy (February 2024).
In conclusion, the sides reviewed the schedule of bilateral events in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
