The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Korea, in cooperation with JSC NC Kazakh Tourism, organized a Road Show dedicated to presenting the tourist opportunities of Kazakhstan, DKnews.kz reports.
The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including representatives from Korea's leading 50 tour operators, airlines, the Secretariat of the Central Asia - Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA), tourism experts, and journalists from both countries.
Opening the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea, Nurgali Arystanov, noted the progressive dynamics of cooperation in the field of tourism. He emphasized that during the successful negotiations between the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol in Astana on June 12, 2024, an agreement was reached to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation, including tourist exchanges and direct ties between Kazakhstan and Korea. It was stated that tourism was a priority sector for Kazakhstan and that further improvement of the tourist infrastructure, including through attracting foreign investments, would be supported by the Head of State and the Government of Kazakhstan.
As part of the event, Korean writer Seo Byung Yong presented to the Embassy his book titled “Three Countries of Central Asia”, which describes the tourist opportunities of Kazakhstan, among others. In the book, the author provides detailed descriptions of unique tourist routes and attractions in the region.
Following the event, active Korean tour operators were awarded valuable prizes from the event's partners: 2 tickets from “Air Astana” airlines, certificates from the “Zhaylau” golf resort, accommodation at “The Ritz-Carlton Almaty”, and a visit to the “Shymbulak” mountain resort.
