The Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence are fundamental principles proposed by the Chinese government and jointly advocated by the governments of India and Myanmar, which should be observed when establishing normal relations and conducting exchanges and cooperation between countries. In December 1953, Premier Zhou Enlai first proposed the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence during a meeting with the Indian delegation in Beijing. In April 1954, the governments of China and India signed the "Agreement on Trade and Intercourse between the Tibet region of China and India" in Beijing and unanimously agreed to include the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence as the guidance for relations between the two countries. In June 1954, Premier Zhou Enlai was invited to visit India and Myanmar, where China-India and China-Myanmar respectively issued joint statements officially confirming the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence as the principles regulating relations between the two countries, stating that these principles apply not only between the two countries but also in general international relations. In April 1955, at the Bandung Conference, Premier Zhou Enlai proposed five principles - mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence, which became the fundamental norms of China's external relations and played a significant historical role in promoting unity and cooperation among the peoples of Asia and Africa.

The ultimate goal of this concept is to create a clean and beautiful world with long-term peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness, and inclusiveness. For this, it is necessary to promote global governance based on the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits. It is important to adhere to universal values, promote the formation of a new type of international relations, implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, carry out high-quality cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, unite the efforts of all countries to counter challenges and achieve common prosperity. The building of a community of shared future for mankind consolidates the greatest common denominator of the aspirations of people from all countries to build a better world.
