Huawei launches Global 5G-A Pioneers Program, reaching Six Agreements with Leading Global Operators, DKnews.kz reports.
At MWC Shanghai 2024, Huawei launched the Global 5G-A Pioneers Program. The event, titled "Shared Success of 5G-A," brought together leading 5G operators from around the world, including China's "big three" as well as HKT, du, and Oman Telecommunications. During the event, they discussed how to stimulate high-quality development of 5G-A networks and how to leverage the opportunities of the upcoming intelligent world to create new market space for growth.
5G has become the fastest-developing generation of mobile communication technology we have ever seen. The pioneering operators who first implemented 5G achieved phased business success. The first release of standards for 5G-Advanced - 3GPP Release-18 - was also officially presented on June 28, 2024, in Shanghai. This is a key milestone for the 5G industry, as 2024 will be the first year of commercial deployment of 5G-A.
David Wang, Executive Director of the Board and Chairman of the ICT Infrastructure Managing Board at Huawei, delivered a keynote speech titled "5G-A: Paving the Way to Shared Success" at the event.

Huawei and its operator partners jointly announced the "5G-A Pioneers" program and six specific consensuses reached during the launch ceremony. These consensuses will maximize the advanced capabilities of 5G-A, promote the development of 5G-A, and further industry progress by advancing pioneering operators, pioneering cities, business model upgrades, high-quality networks, service innovations, and thriving ecosystems.

MWC Shanghai 2024 will be held from June 26 to 28 in Shanghai, China. During the event, Huawei will showcase its latest products and solutions at booths E10 and E50 in Hall N1 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
2024 will be the first year of commercial deployment of 5G-A, and the deployment of gigabit optical networks F5G-A has already begun.
