Kazakhstan took part in the OSCE Conference

The OSCE Annual Security Review Conference was held in Vienna, DKnews.kz reports.

The Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to International Organizations took part in the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference. This forum has been held annually since 2003 to review the implementation of the obligations of the participating States and to consider the situation in the OSCE area in the field of military and political security, conflict resolution, and countering new threats and challenges.

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Ian Borg, during his speech at the opening of the event, noted the relevance of holding the Conference in the face of multiple threats to regional security including rising geopolitical tensions and conflicts.

“We welcome the readiness of all 57 participating States to engage in dialogue on the security situation in Europe, the challenges we face, and the steps we need to take to restore and maintain peace across our region” OSCE Chair-in-Office Minister Borg
