Kazakhstan and Qatar expand cooperation on financial supervision, DKnews.kz reports.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar Arman Issagaliyev met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed Al Thani.
During the conversation, the parties, noting the rapid development of partnership between financial institutions of the two countries, considered ways to increase cooperation in the field of supervision of the activities of second-tier banks.
Ambassador Arman Issagaliyev provided detailed information on the work aimed at ensuring the stability of the financial system and the development of the financial market, noting the progress of reforms on introducing international standards for regulating the banking sector.
In turn, Sheikh Bandar Al Thani confirmed his readiness to intensify interaction within the framework of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Qatar.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize mutual visits by representatives of interested institutions and continue work to expand the legal framework.
