As part of a planned visit to the canton of Nidwalden Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland Kairat Sarzhanov met with members of the cantonal government, head of the Economic Department Otmar Fillinger and the Finance Department Michele Blöchliger, DKnews.kz reports.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of the political dialogue and trade, and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Switzerland, discussing the importance of developing interregional ties.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan called on local companies, including the only Swiss manufacturer of light-engine aircrafts “Piltaus Aircraft”, the internationally recognized IT company “SoftwareONE” and the famous funicular carrier “Stanserhorn-Bahn”, to establish and expand cooperation. During the meetings, Ambassador Sarzhanov informed about the investment policy and advantages of doing business in Kazakhstan.
The canton’s leadership expressed its readiness to promote the expansion of economic cooperation and the establishment of regional cooperation. The Swiss side stressed that thanks to a reasonable fiscal policy, convenient transport logistic and developed infrastructure, more than 2000 companies, as well as large resort areas and tourist attractions, taking into account geographical landscape, are concentrated in the canton.
