The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Switzerland Kairat Sarzhanov met with members of the Swiss-Kazakh Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Ambassador informed about the main provisions of the recent State of the Nation Address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, focusing on reforms in the political and public spheres aimed at building a Just and Fair Kazakhstan. The diplomat noted the importance of using the potential of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, transport and logistics, environmental, energy, educational and scientific research areas.
Participants discussed the possibilities of expanding inter-parliamentary ties in the context of strengthening the political dialogue between Kazakhstan and Switzerland, organizing mutual visits of parliamentarians of the two countries in a group and individual format, and expressed their readiness to develop interaction between the two countries within the framework of multilateral platforms, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Assemblies of the Council of Europe and OSCE.
