Prospects of Cooperation with Kazakhstan in Transportation, Logistics and IT Spheres Discussed in Oman, DKnews.kz reports
The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman Aidarbek Tumatov met with Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman Saeed bin Hamoud bin Saeed Al Maawali.
During the meeting, the parties comprehensively discussed the prospects of the cooperation in the transport and logistic sectors, particularly the use of Oman’s transit potential through its seaports, which will contribute to the intensification of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and the entry of Kazakhstan production into regional markets.
The issue of the participation of Kazakh companies working in the field of railway design and construction in the creation of the railway infrastructure of the Sultanate was raised.
The Omani side was offered advanced Kazakh developments in the field of IT technologies. In particular, the cyber security project and the Astana Hub platform.
In turn, Minister Al-Maouali noted that given the importance of cooperation with Kazakhstan, starting from 2025 regular air communication will be established between our countries.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on a detailed discussion of these issues during the upcoming meeting of the Kazakh-Omani Intergovernmental Commission.
