The Symphony orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theatre, despite the youth of the team, has already developed a rich and diverse repertoire. Each program is unique. The orchestra tries to introduce new programs not only to the capital’s audience, but also presents them on tour.
The concert of the symphony orchestra was held on the stage of the Turkestan Musical Drama Theatre for the first time. The acoustics of the auditorium made it possible to enjoy the music, and the warm welcome of the audience and the dedication of the orchestra musicians created a unique atmosphere of complete mutual understanding between listeners and musicians, who conveyed to the audience the expression of the music of outstanding composers.
The program of the “Gala Symphony” concert included the famous symphonic poems by Camille Saint-Saëns “Danse Macabre” and Paul Dukas “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (symphonic poem), as well as “Bolero” by Maurice Ravel. These compositions are masterpieces of French music, which is recognized as one of the most interesting European musical cultures. The tone of the whole concert was set by famous works of Kazakh music. The concert opened with the national classics - “Dudarai” by Evgeny Brusilovsky and ended with the well-known and beloved “Kyz Kuu” by Tles Kazhgaliyev, and “Asia Dauysy” by Adil Bestybayev. These outstanding and iconic pieces of music have a magical effect on the public.
The artistic director of the Turkestan Musical Drama Theatre, Madina Muratpekova, said after the concert: “We are very pleased with the tour of the Astana Ballet Theatre Symphony Orchestra. The audience received the performance well and enjoyed the concert. It is so important that the listener can be part of the great art of music. Visit us more often. Bring foreign classical music pieces and Kazakh music. We are waiting for new performances.”

The orchestra completed its tour but remained in memory thanks to its brilliant performance on the stage of the Turkestan Musical Drama Theatre. This means that the audience will be waiting for new performances by the Symphony orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theatre.
