The exhibition "Essays on Historical Figures," dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the anniversaries of state and public figures Mukhametzhan Tynyshpayev, Mustafa Shokai, Saken Seifullin, Turar Ryskulov opened at the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, DKnews.kz reports.
In his article "Independence Above All," President K.K. Tokayev noted: "The ideas of statehood and selfless service to the homeland should be reflected in all historical works, both documentary and fiction. An example of this is the activity of prominent representatives of the Alash movement. At the beginning of the last century, they made a significant contribution to the advancement of the idea of independence, sacrificing themselves on the path to freedom. As part of the Independence anniversary celebrations, we must especially emphasize the role of such outstanding figures and convey their rich legacy to our youth and the world."
The main objective of the exhibition is to popularize the spiritual legacy of historical figures. It showcases exhibits, books, and historical documents about these statesmen from the museum and library collections of the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of Kazakhstan. A total of around 170 materials are presented.
"The independence we gained in 1991 became the logical result and a well-deserved culmination of our people’s centuries-long struggle for freedom, honor, dignity, unity, and the territorial integrity of our homeland. A glorious page in this chronicle is also the activity of the outstanding sons of the Kazakh people – Mukhametzhan Tynyshpayev, Mustafa Shokai, Saken Seifullin, Turar Ryskulov, whose anniversaries we are celebrating this year. Reflecting on key milestones in our people’s path to independence, it is our duty today to recall the Alash and Turkestan autonomies, which played a significant role in the formation and development of our statehood. Though they existed for a brief period, they managed to sow the seeds from which the shoots of our democracy later grew" Bakytzhan Temirbolat, Director of the Presidential Center of Kazakhstan
As noted in his speech by a Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Rustemov, “Our people have endured many hardships. The individuals we are speaking about today are those who made a significant contribution to strengthening our independence and shaping Kazakh statehood. The younger generation of Kazakhstanis should draw inspiration from these statesmen, public figures, and heroes of the Kazakh people.”

Having served as Deputy Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR for 11 years, Turar Ryskulov made significant contributions to Kazakhstan. In the 1930s, thanks to his repeated appeals to the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party regarding the plight of the Kazakh people suffering from unprecedented famine, the issue of providing food assistance to Kazakhstan was resolved” Shared the granddaughter of the renowned figure, Turar Ryskulov, Adel Ryskulova
