Kazakhstan Ambassador Held a Meeting with the Head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, DKnews.kz reports.
A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland Azamat Abdraimov and the Head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland Tapio Luuoma.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main issues of interreligious dialogue and Finland’s participation in the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in September 2025 in Astana.
The Kazakh diplomat spoke about the significance of the Congress, which for over 20 years has served as a unique international dialogue platform uniting top officials and authoritative representatives of all world and traditional religions. He also emphasized the significant contribution of the Congress to the global process of intercivilizational and intercultural dialogue, as well as the relevance of discussing issues of peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance, which contribute to strengthening international stability and mutual respect.
The Head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church expressed deep interest in the upcoming event, noting the importance of such a forum for the further promotion of spiritual values and a culture of dialogue with the aim of ensuring peace.
