Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu on the margins of the 31st meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) met with the heads of foreign ministries of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, Cyprus, Konstantinos Kombos and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, DKnews.kz reports.
During the talks, the parties discussed priority issues of bilateral cooperation on deepening political dialogue, increasing mutual trade and developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening economic partnership focused on sustainable development and mutually beneficial cooperation.
At the meeting, Kaja Kallas confirmed the strong support of the European Union for the political and socio-economic reforms carried out in Kazakhstan on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and aimed at improving the welfare of the citizens of the country.
For his part, Minister Nurtleu expressed willingness to further develop mutually beneficial multifaceted Kazakhstan-European relations within the framework of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union and its member states.
The outcome of the meetings confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in strengthening strategic partnership and joint search for solutions to current challenges.
