Republic of Korea (CAROK) Friendship Day was celebrated at the Library of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, DKnews.kz reports
The event was organized by the CAROK Friendship Association in collaboration with the embassies of five Central Asian countries and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
The Central Asian Academic Conference on Heritage and Tourism brought together Ambassadors from Central Asia, representatives of academia and experts. Participants discussed prospects for cultural exchange, opportunities to strengthen tourism cooperation, and strategies for preserving the unique cultural heritage of the region.
Chairperson of the CAROK Friendship Association Lee Ok Ryun emphasized that the Friendship Day serves as an important platform for enhancing mutual understanding and fostering friendly relations between the regions. She expressed hope that the event would pave the way for new partnerships and further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Korea Nurgali Arystanov highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation: “Our relations are based on solid traditions of mutual understanding, friendship, and a shared aspiration for progress. Central Asia and Korea showcase successful examples of partnerships in economics, education, and culture. Tourism exchange further opens new horizons for our peoples”.
The Kazakh diplomat also underscored the role of the CAROK Friendship Association as a key platform for cultural and economic cooperation, strengthening ties between countries through forums, exhibitions, and other initiatives.
The event paid special attention to the development of tourism potential. Camila Mautova, Kazakhstan’s representative at the CAROK Cooperation Forum Secretariat, presented Kazakhstan’s unique tourism opportunities, highlighting the country as a modern and rapidly developing destination for travelers.
The conference also featured unique tourism visuals and videos, including the presentation of the media campaign “Born Bold”, showcasing the rich culture and natural diversity of Central Asian countries.
Overall, the event marked a significant milestone in strengthening friendship and partnership between Central Asia and Korea, emphasizing the importance of cultural and economic collaboration.
