Yerzhan Ashikbayev highlighted the robust dynamics of the enhanced strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the U.S., reaffirming Kazakhstan's commitment to building a constructive cooperation based on mutual interests. The Ambassador emphasized Kazakhstan's dedication to creating favorable conditions for foreign investors and underscored the role of the Astana International Financial Centre, which provides modern and transparent mechanisms for the protection and regulation of foreign investments.

Katherine Tai commended Kazakhstan's contribution to the development of international trade and its efforts toward integration into the global economy. She reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation with Kazakhstan, noting the significant potential for further development in bilateral relations.

Particular attention was given to discussions on the repeal of the Jackson-Vanik amendment, which remains a priority issue in the bilateral economic agenda.

Additionally, the meeting addressed other aspects of bilateral relations, including the prospects for updating the legal framework for trade and implementing initiatives to support women's entrepreneurship and foster new opportunities.

Both parties also praised Katherine Tai’s recent visit to Astana and the successful session of the U.S.-Central Asia Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) Council held in Kazakhstan.
