The official Porsche importer in Kazakhstan, which is part of the Orbis Auto automotive group, has presented the second generation of the Macan model, now fully electric. It is noted that on the Kazakh market, the fully electric Porsche Macan is available in all four modifications – Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S, and Macan Turbo. The vehicles are already available for order at Porsche Centre Almaty and Porsche Centre Astana, DKnews.kz reports.
Prices for the fully electric crossover in Kazakhstan start at 85,505 euros for the Macan. The Macan 4 variant starts at 89,340 euros, the Macan 4S at 96,953 euros, and the Macan Turbo at 123,915 euros.
Gaukhar Gabdrakhimova, Director of the official Porsche importer in Kazakhstan, noted: “The luxurious and dynamic variants of the new-generation fully electric Porsche Macan are now available to Kazakh buyers. True to the brand’s traditions, they are ready to deliver a new standard of comfort, convenience, and innovation.”
The new Macan, with power outputs of up to 470 kW (639 hp), provides all-electric performance on any road surface combined with a high level of everyday practicality. Technical specifications comparable to a sports car are complemented by high-performance fast charging with up to 270 kW of power and a range of up to 613 km (WLTP).
In the new fully electric Macan, Porsche uses the latest generation of permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM) on the front and rear axles, ensuring high efficiency and optimal power delivery. The technical data speaks for itself: with Launch Control, the Macan 4 reaches up to 300 kW (408 hp), while the Macan Turbo achieves 470 kW (639 hp). Maximum torque is 650 Nm and 1130 Nm, respectively, guaranteeing excellent dynamic characteristics. The fastest in the Porsche Macan lineup, with a range of up to 641 km, is the Macan Turbo, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The Macan 4 reaches 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The top speeds of these models are 260 km/h and 220 km/h, respectively.
New PPE Platform with 800-Volt Architecture
The electric motors are powered by a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery, of which up to 95 kWh is available for active use. This high-voltage battery is a key component of the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture, which Porsche is using for the first time in the new Macan. DC charging power reaches up to 270 kW. At a fast-charging station, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. AC charging up to 11 kW is possible using home charging devices. The WLTP range is up to 613 km for the Macan 4 and up to 591 km for the Macan Turbo.
Sporty Proportions and “Coupe” Lines
Thanks to precisely calculated proportions and Porsche’s updated design concept, the new Macan models look dynamic and imposing. The new Macan is easily recognizable as a member of the Porsche family. At the same time, the classic Porsche proportions have been refined and optimally adapted to the requirements of an electric vehicle, further emphasizing the Macan’s sporty, modern, and dynamic appearance.
A slightly sloping hood and pronounced fenders give the SUV a dynamic look even when stationary. Its length is 4784 mm, width 1938 mm, and height 1622 mm. The new Macan is equipped with wheels up to 22 inches in diameter, with different sized tires on the front and rear axles. The wheelbase, increased by 86 mm to 2893 mm, combined with short overhangs at the front and rear, underlines the model’s sporty character. The headlights are divided into two sections: the upper, flat unit with four-point daytime running lights is integrated into the fenders, while the main matrix LED module is placed slightly lower. The distinctive “Flyline” roofline merges with a flat rear window. Together with frameless windows and characteristic side sections, this creates an elegant, sporty image.
Active and Passive Aerodynamics for Extended Range
Porsche successfully combines its recognizable design DNA with aerodynamics optimized for increased range. The Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) system, featuring both active and passive elements, as well as a drag coefficient of 0.25, makes the new Macan one of the most aerodynamic SUVs on the market.
Two Luggage Compartments and a Spacious Interior
The new Macan combines everyday practicality, high technical performance, innovative equipment, and a spacious interior. The electric version of the model offers increased luggage space: the rear cargo area can reach up to 540 liters depending on the model and configuration. There is also an additional 84-liter luggage compartment under the hood, which is 136 liters larger than in the previous model. With the rear seatbacks fully folded, the rear compartment expands to 1348 liters. Practicality is enhanced by a maximum towing capacity of 2000 kg.
The seating position of the driver and front passenger has been lowered by 28 mm, and the rear passengers’ by 15 mm, increasing legroom. At the same time, the interior retains Porsche’s signature style, harmoniously combining lightness, elegance, and technological sophistication. Digital interfaces blend seamlessly with analog controls, such as those for ventilation and air conditioning. LED lighting integrated into the interior and door trim not only serves as illumination but also communicates information or warnings, for example, during greeting or charging.
Driver Experience: High Computing Power and Connectivity
The new Macan is equipped with a next-generation display and control system with three screens, including a separate 12.6-inch instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch central display. For the first time, the passenger can operate infotainment settings, view information, or stream video content on an additional 10.9-inch screen even while the vehicle is moving. Also for the first time, the Porsche Driver Experience system includes a head-up display with augmented reality technology.
The First Macan with Rear-Axle Steering and Dual-Valve Dampers
In developing the Macan, Porsche focused on its signature driving dynamics and steering feel. Thus, the Macan is equipped with all-wheel drive and electric motors controlled by powerful electronics in near real-time. Porsche’s electronic traction control system (ePTM) works five times faster than traditional systems, reacting to wheel slip in just 10 milliseconds. In addition, torque distribution is adjusted depending on the selected driving mode. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system—an electronic rear differential lock—improves traction, stability, and lateral dynamics in the Macan Turbo.
The Macan with air suspension, standard on the Turbo version, is complemented by Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which also works with steel springs. PASM uses dual-valve damper technology, making differences between driving modes even more pronounced.
For the first time in a Macan, optional rear-axle steering is available with a maximum steering angle of up to five degrees. This ensures a compact turning radius of 11.1 meters in urban driving and maneuvering, as well as high stability at higher speeds.
It is worth noting that since 2014, Porsche has delivered more than 800,000 Macans worldwide. This success story will continue with the fully electric model, which is produced at the Porsche plant in Leipzig with zero carbon emissions.
