The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, met with the Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, DKnews.kz reports.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin highlighted key events planned for 2025, including meetings of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission and Joint Working Groups.
The Ambassador informed about the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Kazakhstan to develop and stimulate its IT sector, emphasizing the country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in this domain.
Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja welcomed this proposal while expressing satisfaction with the ongoing interactions between IT companies of the two countries and noted Pakistan's readiness to sign the relevant agreements.
The Minister of State identified great potential for developing cooperation in the areas such as financial technologies, e-commerce, and digital payments etc.
On conclusion of the meeting, an agreement an agreement was reached to organize a meeting of the Joint Working Group on Information Technology and Telecommunications in the beginning of the next year.
