U.S. Congress Highlights the Significance of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, DKnews.kz reports.
Democratic Congressman Jimmy Panetta (California) issued remarks in the Congressional Record to mark Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, emphasizing the importance of strong bilateral relations between the two nations.
In his statement, Congressman Panetta highlighted the historical significance of Kazakhstan's Independence Day and emphasized the pivotal role of the United States as one of the first countries in the world to recognize Kazakhstan’s independence. He reaffirmed the U.S.’s steadfast support for Kazakhstan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Сongressman expressed his commitment to advancing Kazakhstan’s efforts to strengthen peace, security, and economic development. He noted that over its years of sovereign development, Kazakhstan has emerged as a country with a robust economy, considerable international standing, and solid bilateral ties with the United States.
Panetta also praised Kazakhstan’s dedication to political and social reforms, acknowledging the efforts of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in this regard.
