On December 20, heavy snowfall in Almaty caused delays to Air Astana Group’s flights. Severe weather conditions affected visibility and aircraft de-icing procedures, DKnews.kz reports.
Due to the worsening weather, Almaty Airport suspended incoming flights to Almaty from 20:45 till 23:00.
As a result, over 10 flights operated by the Air Astana Group to/from Almaty have been delayed.

Flights KC109/110 (Almaty-Bishkek-Almaty) and KC969/970 (Almaty-Shymkent-Almaty) have been cancelled.
Passengers of affected flights are being provided with meals and refreshments.

Air Astana is fully prepared to resume de-icing procedures as soon as weather conditions improve.
