The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary, Abzal Saparbekuly, held a meeting with Miklós Lengyel, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, responsible for Training, Scholarship Programmes and Science Diplomacy, DKnews.kz reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of education within the framework of Kazakh-Hungarian relations, as well as issues of scientific diplomacy. In particular, it was noted that for more than 10 years, with the support of the Hungarian government, scholarships have been allocated to Kazakh students, enabling several thousand young Kazakhstanis to receive higher education in Hungarian universities. Emphasizing that these young people serve as a «golden bridge» of cooperation between the two countries, both sides stressed the need to strengthen the potential of the «Stipendium Hungaricum» program.
The Kazakh diplomat informed the Hungarian side about Kazakhstan’s achievements in higher education, including the opening of representative offices of top foreign universities in the country. He also noted that Kazakh scholars are prepared to undertake scientific internships at Hungarian universities within the framework of the “Bolashak” international program.
In turn, Miklós Lengyel expressed interest in cooperation with the Bolashak International Programs Center and announced Hungary’s readiness to establish collaboration between the Diplomatic Academy under the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Diplomacy at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening educational and scientific ties between the two countries and expanding bilateral cooperation.
