Kazakhstan Signed Another Export Agreement in the Field of Space Technologies, DKnews.kz reports.
On February 4, 2025, the official signing of an investment agreement for the development and implementation of a high-resolution Earth remote sensing space system for the Republic of Congo took place at the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The document was signed between JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" and representatives of the Republic of Congo.
The project aims to develop space technologies to ensure national security, monitor natural resources, agriculture, ecology, and urban planning in the Republic of Congo. Under the agreement, a high-tech satellite platform will be created to monitor the Earth's surface with high accuracy and efficiency.
The signed agreement allows the Republic of Congo to join the international group of Earth remote sensing satellites, which already includes Mongolia. This lays the foundation for expanded international cooperation in space technology development, ensuring the exchange of data and advanced developments in monitoring and analytics.
"In addition to the satellite platform, Kazakhstan offers a comprehensive solution, including training and knowledge transfer. Kazakhstan is strengthening its position as a center for technological development, and international partners trust our solutions. This is already the second successful export, confirming the high level of the domestic space industry" Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev
Earlier, on September 2, 2024, the parties signed a roadmap for cooperation within the framework of a Memorandum on Earth remote sensing, which became an important stage in the preparation for this agreement.
This agreement will strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Congo in the space sector, contribute to the expansion of bilateral interaction, and foster the development of new technological initiatives.
