Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland Azamat Abdraimov met with Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Finland Johannes Koskinen, DKnews.kz reports.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of developing inter-parliamentary bilateral and regional cooperation. Special attention was paid to the prospects of organizing mutual visits of parliamentarians, as well as establishing close contacts between the friendship groups of the parliaments of the two countries.
Ambassador Abdraimov spoke in detail about the key political and socio-economic reforms initiated by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, including the main tasks following the recently held expanded meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the rule of law, as well as significant aspects of the country’s foreign policy.
Chairman Koskinen highly appreciated the internal political and economic reforms carried out in Kazakhstan and expressed support for the expansion of trade, economic, scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat invited the Finnish MP to attend the Astana International Forum.
