Kazakhstan and Bulgaria expand ties in the field of science

In order to strengthen cooperation in the scientific and academic field and discuss prospects for deepening cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS) and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAN), Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria Viktor Temirbayev met with the President of BAN Evelina Slavcheva, DKnews.kz reports.

During a meaningful conversation, the Kazakh diplomat informed the Bulgarian academician about the current activities of the National Academy of Sciences in the context of the tasks set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the development of the scientific sphere in the country, and taking the opportunity, spoke in detail about the global information campaign «Kazakhstan: Born Bold», as well as the role and significance of the upcoming Astana International Forum (AIF 2025) and extended an invitation to visit AIF 2025.

In turn, Evelina Slavcheva expressed interest in further developing and deepening bilateral cooperation between scientific departments, and emphasized her interest in developing partnerships in the fields of green energy, hydrogen technology and artificial intelligence, as well as her willingness to implement the arrangements reached in practice.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain working contacts on all issues.

The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is the leading scientific and expert center in Bulgaria, implementing a policy in the field of science and innovation development. The BAN consists of 42 autonomous scientific units, which employ about 300 scientists.
