On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko met with Bundestag member Robin Wagener (Alliance 90/The Greens), coordinator of the German Foreign Ministry for inter-societal cooperation with Central Asia and head of the Bundestag delegation to the OSCE PA, and Bundestag member Nils Schmid, speaker on foreign policy issues of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP), DKnews.kz reports.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the state and prospects of political and trade and economic cooperation, as well as the results of the second “Central Asia + Germany” Summit, which took place in September 2024 in Astana.

The importance of the adoption there of the Joint Declaration on Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany, which defined further steps on a wide range of cooperation between our countries, was highly noted, as officials also considered the results of the work of key bilateral platforms – the Intergovernmental Working Group, the Kazakh-German Business Council and the Berlin Eurasian Club.
