2,200 tons of humanitarian aid delivered from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan

36 wagons of Kazakhstan's humanitarian aid arrived in Afghanistan with the assistance of KazAID, DKnews.kz reports.

On behalf of the Head of State, Kazakhstan sent humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. The transfer took place at the railway station Hairaton in Balkh province. The total volume of humanitarian cargo arrived by rail is 2.2 thousand tonnes. This includes vegetable oil, wheat flour, rice groats, winter and summer tents and blankets. A separate batch of humanitarian aid with first-aid medicines will be sent by air. The humanitarian aid was provided with the assistance of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development ‘KazAID’.

As noted by the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan Gaziz Akbasov, Kazakhstan has consistently advocated continued support for the Afghan people, as well as the development of friendly and trade and economic relations between the countries. He confirmed the readiness to deepen cooperation not only in the humanitarian sphere, but also in mining, transport, logistics and agriculture.

It is noted that from 21 to 23 April planned visit to Kabul Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin. As part of the visit is planned to hold meetings with Afghan officials and exhibition of Kazakh goods.
