On May 18, 2025, Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier FlyArystan successfully launched a new international route between Almaty and Yining (Kuldja), DKnews.kz reports.

Flight FS7199, operated by an Airbus A320 and carrying 180 passengers, successfully arrived at its destination. The inaugural round-trip flight operated at full passenger capacity, reflecting strong demand.

The "Almaty – Yining – Almaty" route is FlyArystan'ssecond international route in China (FlyArystan resumed flights between Astana and Urumqi on April 13, 2025), as well as the second international route launched since Yining International Airport was upgraded to an international facility.

According to the schedule, flights operate twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays. FlyArystan will be the first Kazakh airline to serve this route.

Yining is situated near Khorgos, a key transportation hub on the Kazakhstan-China border. The region is part of the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. Historically, Yining was a key point along the northern route of the ancient Silk Road and played an important role in trade between China and Central Asia. Due to its geographic proximity and significant Kazakh population, the Ili region maintains strong ties with Kazakhstan.

Tickets for the Almaty – Yining (Kuldja) route are available for booking on the official website www.flyarystan.com, via the mobile app, and through other official sales channels.
