Kazakhstan presents investment potential in Asir

Regions of Kazakhstan and Aseer Province of Saudi Arabia Expand Cooperation, DKnews.kz reports.

As part of his visit to the city of Abha, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov, held a series of meetings with representatives of the Aseer Province. In particular, he met with the Governor of the province, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the CEO of the Aseer Development Authority, Hashem Al Dabbagh, as well as the Vice President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mahdi Al Hadban.

During the meetings, the Ambassador spoke about Kazakhstan’s broad opportunities in the fields of investment and tourism, and informed his counterparts about the ongoing political and socio-economic reforms in the country aimed at creating a favorable environment for doing business and attracting foreign investors.

In turn, Prince Turki bin Talal, discussing the historical ties between the two countries with the Ambassador, expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan, particularly in trade, investment, and tourism. He also invited the Ambassador to take part in the official opening ceremony of the regional Investment Forum, scheduled to be held on May 27 of this year.

Hashem Al Dabbagh presented the development strategy of Aseer Province and emphasized the importance of exchanging experience in the areas of regional planning and sustainable growth. Meanwhile, Mahdi Al Hadban confirmed the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s readiness to actively support the establishment of direct business contacts between entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and the region.

In addition, the Ambassador visited King Khalid University, where he met with its President, Faleh Al-Solamy. It is worth noting that a memorandum of understanding had previously been signed between this university and the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after Ozbekali Zhanibekov. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in the field of education.

Following all meetings, both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation between regions of Kazakhstan and Aseer Province, particularly through interregional interaction. They also agreed to strengthen business ties by organizing mutual visits and B2B meetings aimed at enhancing trade, economic, and investment partnerships.
